Carbon Conscious Consumer
Carbon Conscious Consumer (C3) is a national climate campaign sponsored by the Center for a New American Dream that challenges individuals to establish climate-friendly daily habits and inspire their friends to do the same. Participants who most creatively and effectively spread the word will win prizes.

Wild Wilderness
Wild Wilderness, which fights the commercialization of the control and management of public lands for profit by the corporate-political complex. Traditional uses of our public lands are being questioned (by the US Forest Service under Bush) as private industry assumes a greater role in their operation and management. In order to attract private investment, suitable economic returns must be assured. Unfortunately, there is little money to be made in allowing the public to enjoy raw nature as an amenity; "as something we Americans are privileged to enjoy." The potential commodity value of nature is simply far too great to be left untapped, and so the cost of recreational access to public lands will rise to whatever level the market will bear. In the eyes of the US Forest Service, wreckreation (recreation run as a revenue generator) is its new business. And we can be fairly confident that they will manage it, as they have managed every other extractive use on our public lands,(i.e. logging) for the benefit of corporations and to the detriment of the public and of the land itself.

www.BuckwheatHull.com Buckwheat hulls are an earth-friendly way to provide adjustable, cushioned support, and make a nifty alternative to polyester stuffing.

Rain Forest
Save the Rain Forest is a site where you can visit daily and click a link. When you do, sponsors display small advertisements.  The ads are picture links just like the ones on the page you're now reading. The money the sponsors pay the site to display the ads is then donated to The Nature Conservancy

Waterkeeper Alliance
Waterkeeper Alliance connects and supports local Waterkeeper programs to provide a voice for waterways and their communities worldwide. To champion clean water and strong communities....check out this site.

A good magazine offering a free trial issue       This magazine is one of our favorites! We highly recommend this!
E/The Environmental Magazine is a bimonthly “clearinghouse” of information, news and resources for people concerned about the environment who want to know “What can I do?” to make a difference.
